Peter Kuhleier (Chairman)

Peter Kuhlmeier is a corporate consultant and managing majority shareholder of Faktor-B Beratergesellschaft mbH in Düsseldorf.

Since completing his banking apprenticeship and studying economics sciences, he has worked for more than 25 years in the area of strategy, organisation, personnel and executive development. His clients include numerous major corporate groups in Germany and abroad.

His assignments have included the position of lead in a development project of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung in south and central eastern Europe, visiting lecturer at the Bergische Universität Gesamthochschule Wuppertal, more than 7 years as lead and consultant in an international compliance project at Airbus, as cooperation and business development partner of Siemens Business Services and of IBM Business Consulting Services, and lately he is chief project lead at Bahn AG in the pan-European GSM-R Project.

For more than 12 years Peter Kuhlmeier has been a partner of DB Systel, the ICT-System and Consulting Unit at Bahn AG, as corporate development architect with integrated programmes for conceptualising and implementing bespoke solutions for enterprises at the interface between organisation and personnel development.

Matthias Schroeder

Matthias Schroeder is Managing Partner of the Chinese law firm Schroeder Xiang & Partner in Peking and specialises in M&A and investment law. He is also Director of the Bavarian China Forum.

He has written two books on Chinese law and investments in China, as well as authoring numerous specialist journalistic articles. He was formerly head of legal consulting at the Peking office of one of Germany’s largest law firms, and head of the Asia Desk of a leading German law firm in Munich, as well as being accredited expert of the GTZ in legal cooperation projects for advising the Legislative Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.

He studied and graduated in law in Berlin (Germany) and Cape Town (South Africa) and speaks German, Chinese, English, Russian and French.

Dr. Josef Feldhaus

Josef Feldhaus holds a doctor’s degree in physics. His fields of research cover nuclear and molecular physics, solid state physics, the development and application of methods and instrumentation for experiments with UV and x-ray beams on electron storage rings and free electron lasers (FEL).

Since 2005 Dr. Feldhaus has been Head of the FLASH Group at the German Electron Synchrotron DESY in Hamburg and responsible for operating and further developing the worldwide first free electron laser for x-ray beams on which scientists from all over the world experiment.

Amongst other positions, he was a member on the Scientific Advisory Council of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) and Facility Advisory Committee of the x-ray laser project LCLS in Stanford, USA. He is currently a member of the Photon Science Advisory Committee at the Paul-Scherrer Institute (PSI), Villingen, Switzerland.
